We have generation Z that consists of people born between 19996 and 2015. They grew up when technology was already in place. This is because one half grew with computers while the latter didn’t. It is necessary to indicate that this is the largest group and comes with the greatest influence to social media. They often rely on social media to have their opinions voiced out. You will realize that they spend an average of about 159 minutes on social media daily. It is also necessary to indicate that they rely on platforms such as Linked In for their professional growth.
Then comes generation X that has persons born from 1965 to 1976. They are known to use at least one social media platform. You will learn that a third of the user of an age above 50 say it is hard for them to give up social media. They will often share content more than any other group. They also have the highest disposable income among all generations. This means that they can be target audiences to those who wish to sell products on social media. This is boosted by their readiness to share.
We finally look at the baby boomers generation that consists of persons born as from 1646 to 1964. Their number is the smallest on social media. They are known to value more content. This is what will make them go for platforms like Facebook. This is what will make it easier for them to share their opinions with friends. You will hence appreciate that social media is used by all generations.
